   between 在…之间，It 指代村庄

2. The village is on a river.

   on 在…之上，本文中为靠近

3. My wife and i are walking along the banks of the river.

   walk along 沿着 bank 河岸，银行

4. He is swimming across the river.

   across 表动态介词

5. This is the school building.

   building 建筑物

   This is the government building.

   government building 政府大楼

6. It is beside a park.

   beside 在…旁边

7. Some children are coming out of the building.

   children 孩子

   come out of 从…出来

8. a photograph of 的用法

   • …的照片 严格意义上的照片，由相机拍照而成

   • = photo 照片，复数形式相同

     photos = photographs

   • 用介词 of 表示所属关系

   • take a photo/photograph 拍照

9. another 的用法

   • 意思是另一个

     other 其他

   • 泛指三个或三个以上的人或物中没有确定的另一个

   • 后面可以直接加名词，也可以加数词+名词，顺序不能变动

     another two ice cream. （再来两个冰激凌）

     这种用法等于数词+ more + 名词

     two more ice creams.（再来两个冰激凌）

10. come out of 用法

    • 从…出来

    • 后面一般加表示地点的名词

    • come out of nowhere （突然出现，出乎意料地出现）

      The problem didn’t come out of nowhere.（这个问题并不是没来由的）

    • come out 有三种常用的意思

      出现，出结果

      显露，露出

      出版，发行

语法

1. 一般现在时主要表示经常发生的动词或存在的状态。谓语动词形式为动词原形，当主语是第三人称单数，是动词原型后加 s 或者 es。

2. be 动词的一般现在时，主语 + be(am, is are) + …

   主语	be 动词
   第一人称单数 I	am
   第三人称单数 he/she/it	is
   第二人称单数 you	are
   各人称复数 we/you/they	are

3. 实义动词的一般现在时，主语 + 动词原型/动词原型-(e)s

   主语	实义动词
   第一人称单数 I	原型
   第三人称单数 he/she/it	原型 -(e)s
   第二人称单数 you	原型
   各人称复数 we/you/they	原型

4. 一般现在时的用法

   • 表示经常性，习惯性的动作或存在的状态

     Our village is in a valley.

   • 表示普遍真理，科学事实，格言警句等不受时间限制的客观存在

     The earth is round. （地球是圆的）

     There are four seasons in a year.（一年有四季）

   • 表示最近按计划，安排将要发生的动作

     I am off （我要走了）

     主要用于 start, go, come, begin等动词

     I start for Shanghai tomorrow.
