1 Ingress基本概念

1.1 为何需要Ingress

使用NodePort类型的Service可以将集群内部服务暴露给集群外部客户端,但使用这种类型Service存在如下几个问题:

  1. 一个端口只能一个服务使用,所有通过NodePort暴露的端口都需要提前规划;
  2. 如果通过NodePort暴露端口过多,后期维护成本太大,且不易于管理;
  3. 目前Service底层使用的Iptables、IPVS,仅支持四层协议,无法完成https协议传输;

kubernetes为了解决这个需求,提供了一种高级的流量管理,也就是Ingress和Ingress控制器,kubernetes使用Ingress控制器来接收所有入口的流量,然后通过Ingress资源来定义流量如何区分,以及流量如何转发的规则。

有了Ingress和Ingress控制器,我们就可以直接定义流量转发规则来发布服务,而无需创建一堆的NodePort和LoadBalancer类型的Service。

Ingress官网定义:Ingress可以把进入到集群内部的请求转发到集群中的一些服务上,从而可以把服务映射到集群外部。Ingress能把集群内Service配置成外网能够访问的URL,流量负载均衡,提供基于域名访问的虚拟主机等。

Ingress简单的理解就是你原来需要改Nginx配置,然后配置各种域名对应哪个Service,现在把这个动作抽象出来,变成一个Ingress对象,你可以用yaml创建,每次不要去改Nginx了,直接改yaml 然后创建/更新就行了;那么问题来了:”Nginx该怎么处理?”

Ingress Controller这东西就是解决 “Nginx的处理方式” 的;Ingress Controller通过与 Kubernetes API交互,动态的去感知集群中Ingress规则变化,然后读取它,按照他自己模板生成一段Nginx 配置,再写到Ingress Controller Nginx里,最后reload一下

1.2 什么是Ingress

Ingress其实就是Kubernetes中的一种资源,它主要是用来定义流量转发规则。但Ingress资源本身并不能实现流量的转发和调度,它仅仅是一组流量路由的规则集合,这些规则要真正发挥作用还需要使用到Ingress控制器,由Ingress控制器读取对应的Ingress规则,然后完成流量的路由或转发。

通过配置,Ingress可为Service提供外部可访问的URL、对其流量作负载均衡、 终止SSL/TLS,以及基于名称的虚拟托管等能力。Ingress控制器负责完成Ingress的工作,具体实现上通常会使用某个负载均衡器,不过也可以配置边缘路由器或其他前端来帮助处理流量。

Ingress不会随意公开端口或协议。将HTTP和HTTPS以外的服务开放到Internet 时,通常使用Service.Type=NodePort或Service.Type=LoadBalancer类型的Service。

1.3 Ingress Controller

Ingress Controller是一个七层负载均衡调度器,客户端的请求先到达这个七层负载均衡调度器, 由七层负载均衡器在反向代理到后端pod,常见的七层负载均衡器有nginx、traefik,以我们熟悉的nginx为例,假如请求到达nginx,会通过upstream反向代理到后端pod应用,但是后端pod的ip地址是一直在变化的,因此在后端pod前需要加一个service,这个service只是起到分组的作用,那么我们upstream只需要填写service地址即可。

Ingress Controller就是一类以代理HTTP/HTTPS协议为主的代理程序。Ingress Controller通过Pod的形式运行在Kubernetes集群上,它能够与集群上的Pod直接通信。这样就可以让用户的流量经过Ingress控制器时直接调度到对应的Pod上。

Ingress Controller类似Nginx服务,它负责读取Ingress的规则,然后将规则转换为nginx.conf配置文件,这样就可以根据对应的规则来实现流量的调度。同时它还会实时感知后端Service对应的Pod变化,当Pod发生变动时,Ingress控制器会再次结合Ingress的规则,进而完成对应的配置动态更新。

注意: 使用Ingress资源进行流量分发时,Ingress控制器可基于Ingress定义的规则将客户端的请求流量直接转发至Service对应的后端Pod资源上,比如: 用户请求api.zhangsan.net,Ingress控制器依据对应的规则直接将请求流量调度至Pod3或者Pod4,而无需经过Service对象转发。

1.4 Ingress和Ingress Controller总结

Ingress Controller可以理解为控制器,它通过不断的跟Kubernetes API交互,实时获取后端 Service、Pod的变化,比如新增、删除等,结合Ingress定义的规则生成配置,然后动态更新上边的Nginx或者trafik负载均衡器,并刷新使配置生效,来达到服务自动发现的作用。

Ingress则是定义规则,通过它定义某个域名的请求过来之后转发到集群中指定的Service。它可以通过Yaml文件定义,可以给一个或多个Service 定义一个或多个Ingress规则。

1.5使用Ingress Controller代理k8s内部应用的流程

(1)ingress-controller通过和 kubernetes APIServer 交互,动态的去感知集群中ingress规则变化;

(2)然后读取它,按照自定义的规则,规则就是写明了哪个域名对应哪个service,生成一段nginx配置;

(3)再写到nginx-ingress-controller的pod里,这个ingress-controller的pod里运行着一个Nginx服务,控制器会把生成的 nginx配置写入 /etc/nginx.conf文件中;

(4)然后reload一下使配置生效。以此达到域名区分配置和动态更新的作用;

2 IngressController部署方案

2.1 DaemonSet+HostNetwork+nodeSelector

用DaemonSet结合nodeselector来部署ingress-controller到特定的node上,然后使用HostNetwork直接把该pod与宿主机node的网络打通,直接使用宿主机的80/443端口就能访问服务。这时,ingress-controller所在的node机器就很类似传统架构的边缘节点,比如机房入口的nginx服务器。该方式整个请求链路最简单,性能相对NodePort模式更好。缺点是由于直接利用宿主机节点的网络和端口,一个node只能部署一个ingress-controller pod。 比较适合大并发的生产环境使用。

hostNetwork 是一种 Pod 配置选项,它允许 Pod 直接使用主机的网络命名空间。这意味着 Pod 中的容器可以与主机上的其他进程共享网络栈和网络接口,从而使 Pod 能够直接访问主机的网络资源。但是要注意,使用 hostNetwork 可能会导致网络隔离性的降低,因为 Pod 中的容器与主机上的其他容器共享相同的网络环境。

2.2 Deployment+HostNetwork+nodeSelector+pod反亲和性

用Deployment结合nodeselector、pod反亲和性来部署ingress-controller到特定的node上,并且保证了每个node只部署一个服务,然后使用HostNetwork直接把该pod与宿主机node的网络打通,直接使用宿主机的80/443端口就能访问服务。

2.3 IngressController高可用方案

上面两种方案都配置了HostNetwork,外面配置nginx+keepalived即可实现高可用

配置vip和域名映射,访问VIP:PORT实现跳转到node:80端口上
